At last, after few hours of travel from Manila, i've seen again Anawangin. This would be my third time to visit Anawangin, now with new trippers, the 1st time i've get to this place is through a trek from Brgy. Pundaquit and next one is an invite from another mountaineering organization, and this will be my first time to organize an actual trip to Anawangin and sidetrips to 2 two islands: Capones and Camara Islands.

The Trippers....^_^ |
Through the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991 changed the landscape of Central Luzon, and one of this changes emerge the secluded cove, now known as Anawangin Cove is a crescent shaped cove with a pristine white sand beach, and dotted with pine tree like (actually Agoho trees). What makes the place unique is the unusual riddle of tall pine trees flourishin round its vicinity. There are no roads going to Anawangin. Anawangin Cove is facing the open sea of South China Sea. This cove is only accesible via 30-40 minutes boat ride from the shores of Brgy.Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales or via 4 to 6 hrs trek to very open and hot trails of Mt. Pundaquit range.

This cove is used to be mountaineers' secret getaway after a climb to Zambales mountains, but now a days this cove was not a secret anymore. The cove is now a famous camping site of tourist from all walks of life. Where you experience the back to basic life, with no electricity and mobile signal. Like what my trippers experience when i brought them to this amazing cove.

Here are the reasons why it makes me always want to go back to Anawangin Cove, because of it's pristine and breezy place, the unusual riddle of pine tress around its vicinity, and through this pictures below will tell you why i really love this cove.

This cove was once secluded few years back, in fact i had the chance to experience it way through trails of Mt. Pundaquit and as you get to this other side a very pristine and secluded cove will greet you together with it's caretaker, some locals of Zambales who lives on this place. But now a days, Anawangin cove really change from secluded to a famous destination for a famous camping site of tourists, although through the years, the hidden cove has maintained its beauty and serenity that due to its remoteness. This cove could be really exploited through the years, i'm not against the tourism for this place but i do hope that this cove could be still preserved in the coming years and i'm really hoping that i could bring my kids and see this cove on its pristine and breezy condition.
Here are some reasons why i'm afraid that maybe in few years now, we could not see anymore the pristine and serenity of this cove.
