Day 3: It's Time to Say Goodbye......Boracay

It was July 3, the time we had to go back to reality, back to busy streets of Manila and overtime's at our work...Even though our vacation was not as long as the other vacationers, at least i could say to my self, i have already set my foot on Boracay Island. Few years back it was just a dream but now, i've stayed, enjoyed and leave this beautiful island and i know i will have the chance to go back again......^_^

We check out at around 1130am, paying php3000 for our 2days & 2nights stay...Ride a tricycle up to Cagban Port (Terminal Fee php50 & Passenger Ticket Fee php30). Our banca trip took almost 30 minutes due to waiting of passengers that time...maybe due to our departure at noontime...^_^.

After few minutes of waiting on the port, we started to board our motorized banca transfer to jetty port. This cruise would just take up to 15 minutes but if the waves are not at your side, i think you will took more longer time or your transfer would be cancelled...^_^

Of course, right after we boarded, wear our life vest, photo opps takes place again....and here are some of our shots i wanted to share...^_^....tingin ko alam ko na kung saan talaga ko ngmana...sa makulit kung tatay..check nyo sa baba...para lang makapagpapicture kahit pinagbawalan nah...hehehehe.....^_^

It was almost 12nn, when we arrived at Jetty Port of Caticlan, at first we planned to eat just outside this port, but my friend called that we could take our lunch on their place.....hmmmm....tipid mode...so we decided to travel fast. There are two options to reach Kalibo town proper for our destination, but the buses & van waiting outside this port automatically bring tourist to airport by their request. Fare for this transportation is bus (php105) and for van (php100 - we just haggled the price since the driver knew where are we going...hehehe...there charging us php120 that time...). Our trip to Caticlan would be almost 2 hours, so just sleep all over the road trip...^_^....

Around 130pm, we're dropped off to Pong's specified destination, and after 5 minutes Pong arrive and fetch us to their house in Kalibo.......and as we arrived the feast was already serve.......^_^....lahat ng gutom namin ay napawi sa mga oras nayun....obvious naman...^_^. We stayed at Pong's place for almost 3 hours, we just have chichating while drinking few bottles of liquour...ang kulit...buti nalang d kami halata nun nasa airport nah...hehehehe...

We departed Pong's place around 430pm, so we could have an hour gap from uur flight that is scheduled for 530 pm, and we decided to check in early, so we could have the chance to select our favorite seat...window seats....and to have some photo opps also....wahhhhh...namiss ko na naman un isa ko camera na nawala..huhuhuhuhu...

At exactly 545pm, boarding procedure started, but of course, were a family that loves picture taking...hehehe...photo opps muna...^_^....

It was around 640pm, when we arrived at MIA, all of us where really happy to go back home, although it was just a quick vacation and spend only 2 days of chilaxation.....were all contented on what we have done...and promise to go back to Boracay together with my wife & kids nah...^_^

There's something i'd like to recommend to other tripper going to Boracay....for me it is a must have booklet when you will have your vacation in Boracay, because it has all the information from accomodation, services, places to go, what to do and anything about Boracay....."My Boracay Guidebook"...btw..this is from my sister-in-law...^_^.

Day 1: Trip to Kalibo

One of my expected trip last year together with my family. Were supposed to be 6 flying to Kalibo but my sister's bf got a conflict on thier house so he wasn't able to join us on our trip. So were 3 singles that day, my tatay, my sister lyca, and of course me, my bro nikki is together with my sister-in-law hazel, this is kinda late romantic getaway for this two....hehehe...and for me this would be my very first time to set foot on this island paradise called as Boracay Island, infact i've attempted so many times to go to this place but i don't really know why it is always had a conflict or i have other scheduled trip when there is invites...hehehehe...but i think it's God will that for my first time i will be going to Boracay together with my family....and all of us were first timers......^_^

Our flight was schedule 4pm and we arrived at MIA around 2:30pm and like always happening in every of my flights, our flight was delayed for almost 30 minutes so we departed around 4:30 pm (at least naramdaman ng mga kasama ko un delayed flight...hehehehe...)

Upon checking in, we already proceed on paying our terminal fee (php200)...this vacation was almost a treat by my brother, i just only prepared our itinerary, accomodation, our activities and of course our contact person in Kalibo, my friend Pong who is now residing in Kalibo.

So we have to wait for almost 2 hours including the flight delayed announce prior to our flight schedule. What do you think we do.....of course photo opps in every corner of the airport...but sad to say...most of  our pictures taken is coming from the camera that lost on this trip....huhuhuhu...Aside from photo opps we ate as much as we can...i remember we ate from each stalls inside MIA...hehehe...(parang patay gutom mode lang...2 hours ba naman)...Here's one of our souvenir shot inside MIA.

So after almost 2 hours of strolling around inside MIA, eating in each of eery stalls, having different poses and photo opps in every corner of the airport...we heard an announcement that its time to aboard...hayz...all of the passenger that time were happy because it is was already late afternoon. Maybe most of the passenger that day will travel via commute....lucky for us we will be fetched by my friend Pong and drove up to Caticlan Port and there will also fetching us in Cagban Port, cousin of Pong.....now it boarding time...and photo opps also...^_^

As we walked to the field, my sister actually got scared seeing our plane because he saw huge elesi blades...she thought that as she have seen in tv's that it has an jet engine turbines...at first im still insisting to my sister that it is safe to ride with kind of plane.....but actually this is not my first time to ride a propeller type plane and actually this is much bigger than one in SEAIR planes..but frankly speaking i'm a bit scared riding this of plane, i just hide it....hehehehe...

After 1hr and almost 10 minutes our plane is approaching the town of Kalibo and few minutes afterwards as the picture shown below we landed...yahooooo.....

It was around 5:40pm, and lucky for us the sun is still up for that time...and my friend Pong is waiting inside the airport.....

My sister was actually happy that we landed safe because she was really afraid the whole flight...hehehe...kasi ba naman di propeller pala sasakyan namin eh...And after a bit chitchat and buying some refreshment just outside the airport, we started our journey to Caticlan.....as per Pong it will be roughly 2 hours of driving towards to Caticlan Port....so this is the end of our trip to Kalibo.....^_^...watch out for the following stories behind our family trip to Boracay....^_^..

Here's one of my unforgetable trip last year, happened last July 1-3, 2011. Together with my Tatay, Nikki, Lyca and my sister-in-law Hazel. This one of my scheduled trip for 2011, and thanks to airline promos...hehehe..we have our late summer gateaway and this is also my first time to set foot on this island paradise known as Boracay. I've really heard so much about this island, that is one of our top tourist destination, there are different activities you could choose on and of course the night life activities in beach.
Boracay before is one my dream vacation because of all what i've heard, i visited different islands and beaches, but this island is not always on my plan, so when my brother Nikki heard about a  promo on 1 of the airlines bound for Kalibo, we immediately booked a viceversa trip and i was really really excited about it.

Being a tripper, having some contacts and friends where are you going is really an advantage. Lucky for this trip, i have a friend that is actually from Kalibo and also has a business at Boracay, and it means we really got a discount...hehehe...and a very chilax trip from Kalibo International Airport up to Caticlan port...hay sarap..hehehe...
Ok, lets go back from the start, for this 3 are first timer to ride a plane, my bro, my sis and sister-in-law, we arrive at MIA around 2:30pm and our flight schedule is around 4:30pm (o diba ang aga namin..sobrang excited ng mga kasama ko eh...!!!) We arrived at Kalibo International Airport around 5:40pm and my friend Pong is already waiting inside the airport...( astig!! medyo kilala kasi family nila sa Kalibo..hehehe)..And here's our chilax mode travelling up to Caticlan port via her fourtuner...o diba sarap ng trip...hehehehe.. It was around 7:40pm when we arrived at Caticlan Port and boat transfer up to Cagban Port. Pong already made our reservation for 2days & 2 nights in Amigos Beach Resort (Station 2) near D' Talipapa for only 1,500 a night, the room is really nice and very big for us 5 trippers, it is good thing that the owner of this accomodation is cousin of Pong, so we had a really good discount....

Being first timers on this island, i really depend on my resources aside from my friend, i gathered some info's on my PTB group and other blogs stories about Boracay. As much as possible we want to fully utilized our stay and do more activities while were in Boracay...our activities was supposed to be reef walking, parasailing, island hopping, snorkeling, ATV ride, and trek to the falls and many more, but due time constraint, we just have only 2 days of adventures and stay on island paradise.
At our 1st night, we ate at the very common fastfood that we find in D' Talipapa....hehehehe...and with rice all you can....Mang Inasal...afterwards we had a walk along the shores of Boracay and decided to take a dip along with other vacationers having night swimming too....below is one of our souvenir photos.....^_^. After our night swimming we had some drinking session in one of the bars in Station 2, i forgot its name na eh...hehehe...

Start of our 1st day in Boracay, as i've said we wanted have all of the adventures tried but due to time constraint, i personally decided the easiest and of course more economical...(nagkuripot...^_^)...we actually got a package trip that includes reef walking , ATV ride, tour to Everland Aviary Farm and Mt. Luho Viewpoint.

After being submerged under seawater for more than 30 minutes....(actually bitin pa po ako personally...hehehe)..We had an late breakfast/early lunch.....known as brunch...hehehehe...at Sheena's at Station 1.

Next stop of our adventures, an ATV ride experience, driving an all terrain vehicle to up to Everland Aviary Farm and Boracay's Ocean Tower just like Mt. Luho Viewpoint....

One of the stopovers while doing ATV driving is a tour inside the Everland Aviary Farm...were you can see unique bird cages and different kind of birds and an photo opportunity with a live bat...

Here's one of the side trip of ATV driving, the walk upstair to Boracay's Ocean Tower / Mt. Luho Viewpoint. Before this viewpoint is kinda trekking activity where it a real nature feeling but as my recent visit it was cemented stairs up to it viewpoint...

After with our different adventures in Boracay, it's time to go shopping for souvenirs...this is the most important part whenever im going on trips....hehehehe...As i've researched about shopping for souvenirs most of the bloggers recommended D' Mall and D' Talipapa. For me, D' Mall is for vacationers, trippers and leisure trippers looking for decent look of stalls, air conditioned, and much pricey souvenirs. But as you me, i'm a tipid tripper, backpackers and always looking for much cheaper souvenirs, i would suggest to go to D' Talipapa....

And for the rest of the day, we had the real chilaxation by the beach....spending few hours at low tide time of Boracay....just walking and taking souvenir shots all you can..

By night, before we had last dinner at Boracay, we had decided to have one signature....even though it's just a henna tattoo, it was really nice to have that tattoo...i do really hope that i could make it a real tattoo...(magagalit kasi ung wife ko...sabi nya nga sakin subukan ko daw...gagawin nya un carving un tatalupin ang balat...hahahahaha...). We just chilax that night, dinner in one of the resto, and have our last drinking session but this time were just on our room...tipid mode...^_^.

We have to wake up early because Pong invited us to go to their house at Kalibo before our flight going back to Manila (Jul 3, Sunday). We checked out at Amigos Beach Resort before lunch and have our last minute of shopping at D' Talipapa before going to Cagban Port via Tricylce ride again. After almost 2 hours of traveling between boat transfer from Cagban to Caticlan ports and fetch a express van going to Kalibo town. We meet again Pong and drove going to their house and have our sumptuous late lunch at Solina's Residence...(grabe ang dami ng hinanda para sa limang tao...hehehehe...). But sad to say in every trip their ups and downs, and i don't really know whether my sister forgot or misplace one of my point and shoot camera and what am i really upset most of our pictures is on that camera......huhuhu....

After few hours of chitchat and stay at Pong's house, it time to go back to Manila. Go back to the real world, back to busy streets of Manila and full of stress in work. But it's really nice to see our family got together even though in a few days we bonded again. Thanks Boracay...and hope to back again......Personally i wish i could go back on this place but now together with my wife and kids......^_^
