Right after a refreshing swim in Sto.Niño Cold Spring, we went to another resort, known with it's unique resort's name. Soda Swimming Pool, located in Bura, Catarman.
Our multi-cab took few minutes going to Bura, Catarman, 30 minutes from Mambajao. As you will pass by a cemented uphill drive, as seen below...^_^
As it's name...Soda Swimming Pool, you might guest why it was named like that, according to it's residents, it's water taste like soda. Due to our curiosity...we all taste the water...hehehehe....If you're a trekker or mountaineer and usually drinks on a downstream of water or on a waterfalls, you may appreciate it's taste. It was quite refreshing and a bit cold and quite taste as mineral water. But if you're like with my co-xplorer Jayson that is not familiar with fresh mountain waters...he really doesn't like the taste...in short...maarte lang talaga..^_^
The resort is located in a great scenery over the fields and the seas as it's cold water provide a refreshing splash to bathers and picknickers. Especially, if you're a swimmer, the water is pretty deep and the pool is quite slippery because the floor is just like from the previous resort we visited, it was sandy too. The resort has cottages, picnic huts and tables around yet comfortable stay. Added to that, Soda Water Pool is surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful blooms, and the gigantic mount hibok-hibok dominates the skyline. Sad to say, i wasn't able to roamed around the resort, because right after few souvenir shots and group photo opps, we try to go swim again....^_^
And here are some of our photo opps while having fun in Bura Soda Swimming Pool...it's really More Fun in the Phillippines while having group pictures and also going swimming....^_^
For the entrance fee, 13 yrs old and up is 20php, and 6yrs to 12 yrs old is 10 php and if you want to rent a cottage, it will cost you 50php. The resort is closes every Wednesday for it's regular cleaning.
We stayed at Soda Swimming Pool for almost an hour, and quite satisfied on our stay, have fun and memorable photo opps...But until now i'm quite curious of it's resort's name....where it actually start...^_^
