Upon arriving to Camiguin's port, we we're really excited on what we are going to see and visit for our 1st day of tour. We will be staying here for two days and have just only ideas on what we will see and all of us were first timers on this island, although i've researched some information about Camiguin, on what to see and visit.
So right after we check in Pabua Cottages and have a meet and greet with Kuya Puloy, owner of Pabua Cottages, we proceed with our day tour...with Kuya Chris (driver/tour guide), our 1st stop is one of the coldest spring i've been with....Sto. Niño Cold Spring located 4kms North of Central Catarman.
It was really exact time for us to take a dip because we had a long bus trip and few hours of RORO ride, and taken few minutes of reaching our accomodation. We really need this break....of course there's an entrance fee, but based from a local that i've talked with it was really free before but now it regulated and owned, so it was not free for any person, even locals pays for an entrance, but she did not tell me if she does get a discount because she's a local from Camiguin, For us, we had a damage of 20php.
Sto. Niño Cold Spring has a terrific huge pool of very cold spring water. I'm not pretty sure with it size but it was really quite big pool with one slide on its side although that part was quite deep measuring of 10m deep with sandy bottom all over the pool. So it's much better to wear close sandals, if you don't want to walk on a sandy floor...^_^
So here's the pool area...actually on one end of the pool area has a manmade cascaded of water but it not already part of the pool, it just like a pond to welcome visitors of this resort. This resort just have one huge pool. The area also has native stores, picnic huts and toilet picnickers.
One unique thing that this resort have is the crystal cold water has live small fishes. That if you stay motionless in the water, these fish will come and pick off all the dead skin of your body. You wont' actually feel them, but after few hours or minutes your body will be clean and smooth. It's just like when you're in Ocean Park Manila where you will place your feet in the water and small fish picking off dry dead skin...^_^
And then, of course time of the X-plorerboyz.....photo opps all the way, swimming even the water was really cold...hehehehehe...and we ordered also a fresh buko for only 20php. Btw, here are some of our wacky, funny and group pictures while our stay on this resort...^_^

ReplyDeleteit looks like a fun place, tropical island picnic and water park. great for tourists, especially in this hot month of august. but i thought manila has been recently experiencing stormy weather and floods.
