Our Amansinaya Mountain Resort Daytour Experience

by lakwatserong tatay

It's been quite a while since my last post was published and it was also a backlog trip of mine...^_^....whew... up until now, i have so many travel backlog posts. I just wish i could still do it to update this blogsite....^_^. So, last night, i was able to go to a internet shop and managed to still few hours of mine to check my fb fanpage, fb account, emails and of course this blogsite of mine. So i will start with this trip early this year, where one of my cotrippers manage to get a promo voucher for Amansinaya Mountain Resort Daytour plus Trek to Ambon-Ambon Waterfalls. However, we decided to cut our stay & activities with Amansinaya and add to our day activity with a quickie dayhike to Mt. Batulao (v.v. new trail). So let me start with my story now.....^_^

now entering Amansinaya
Good thing with my co-xplorers, there's always available transportation for our group. Thanks to Coy...so we meet early in the morning in MRT Ayala station going to Laurel, Batangas, where Amansinaya Mountain Resort is situated. The plan for the day is 1st to trek to Ambon-Ambon Waterfalls, then do the activities in Pugadlawin Adventure Camp (Mudslide, Rappelling and Zipline) and of course try their infinity pool in Patio Filipino and after lunch, we will do a dayhike trek to Mt. Batulao..

Entrance to Patio Filipino
We arrive quite early at the resort, and because of that we wait for the employee in charge with promo deals arrangement. So what did i do....of course....photo opps mode...^_^

Souvenir shop @ the Lobby
Patio Filipino is not quite big space for the diners of the resort, however upon seeing the infinity pool, makes us all excited to go for a morning dip...but we choose to do that on the later part of our stay. After engaging with the different activities on our daytour stay. Below are the views around Amansinaya Mountain Resorts's infinity pool, open nipa hut and the lush greenery surrounding and Ambon-ambon Waterfalls.

The Infinity Pool with backdrop of Lush Green Mountain

Lush Greenery Scenery within the Pool
There's the Ambon-ambon falls, our 1st activity for the day.....^_^

one of the open nipa huts...thanks to our sponsors...^_^
Fast forward, when we get back coming from our trek to Ambon-ambon falls (i'll be doing a separate post for Ambon-Ambon falls), we proceed to their Pugadlawin Adventure Camp, where Rappeling, Mudslide and Zipline activity is available, thanks for the great deal we have...we got this all for free and repeat it all you can...^_^..

1st stop Rappeling...
1st stop was rappelling, only 4 of us tried this tiring activity, melvin, johari and caloy and me, in fact yours truly wasn't able to reach the top...due to a muscle cramps...(palusot lang daw sabi ng mga loko) ^_^

getting our gears ready...^_^

carlo & me...^_^

johari & melvin...
2nd stop....ziplining...all of us tried this, not just once, twice, but actually couple of times....^_^

it's me while ziplining...
And last, but not definitely the last activity on Amansinaya....the mudslide....at first where thinking where is the mud...we realize it after getting the other end of this slide.....^_^

the mudslide...^_^
As far as i remember we stayed for this activity for more than 30 minutes, we really enjoyed it..and tried it for couple of times. Even though it was quite tiring going up and going down the slides takes just few minutes. This activity was worth a try....^_^

yahoooooo......
And before we end our stay with Amansinaya Mountain Resort, of course we will not missed to take a dip with their infinity pool....photo opps all the way......go...go....xploreboyz......

jumpshot mode....

chillax mode....^_^

tv hosts mode....^_^
next stop is Ambon-ambon Waterfalls and Dayhike to Mt. Batulao (v.v. New Trail)

Ocular trip: Punta De Fabian Resort Getaway

by lakwatserong tatay

One of the advantages being a traveler is giving you the opportunity in getting to different places. And if your working at a company that usually does team building and POD outing. It's really an advantage because you will be the first person that been asked and most of the time you will have the luxury of having an ocular trip and of course it is all expense trip.....wow...sarap diba!!!! Although in exchange you will the assigned person to know all of the things about the place you will staying for a perfect weekend getaway.

Punta De Fabian
I've heard so much resorts near my place in Rizal, with just little research and checking for those resorts review i've done. I came to a decision that  to endorse Punta De Fabian Resort located at the boundary of Baras and Tanay, Rizal. Its just a perfect place for us to have a fresh air, serene hilltop view, and of course a few little bit team activities.

the hilltop views
Punta de Fabian is located on a hillside of Baras, Rizal which is boundary of Tanay, rizal too. A perfect place to have a nice view of lush greenery views and of course Laguna Lake. Fresh air will greet you and together with their friendly and attentive staffs, you will surely have a blast of weekend getaway if you choose to stay here.

one of the pools and a jacuzzi

the infinity pool
One thing i loved with this resort is their infinity pool, even though it was quite scary because it was actually a hillside drop, so please be careful and i found it safe because there's a pool attendant that usually checks for the swimmers that usually stays on the hillside part.

The time we visited the place, there was actually a quite big group that also having their company outing or maybe team or POD outing. Even though we've given the chance to swim, we did not take it and reserved it for our POD outing...hehehehe..I thought one of their resort attendants will assist and tour us. But i was kind a surprise because the supervisor did that....o di..ba..galing ni mam!!!! From their rooms, conference hall, videoke area's, restaurant, billiards, table tennis and dart area, kid's playground and basketball court area, and one of the most i've really like the maze area, which is really perfect for a team building activity.

the conference hall, other meeting rooms
one of the videoke area with a hilltop view...^_^
The greatest thing happened that time was we had a free lunch. Although prior to that, we ask if we could have a food tasting, it was approved however we will have to pay for it but with a discounted price. However, we had a turn of event when one of the supervisors came in, maybe she was in a 2nd shift and told the supervisor that toured us, i was featured on tv show which is the Weekend Getaway Show , she's been following my blog too.....thanks po mam...sorry talaga nakalimutan ko name mo and nahiya ako sobra kasi nagpa picture kapa kasama ako and yun iba staff nyo...akalain nyo nagblush ako kahit maitim na ko un lang di ata halata talaga.......^_^. So because of that, we've got our lunch for free and we had also photo sessions after...

the ocular team...from L-R, mondi, pot, roger and me...^_^

The restaurant area situated near one of the pools and also their receiving area for their guest. The 2nd floor of this is one of the activity area that holds the billiards tables, dart area, table tennis area, and one of the videoke area. Here are some of the photos of activity area's of Punta De Fabian resort.

Overall, we had a great time that day, specially for me, nakakahiya moment yun pero at least akalain mo nakilala ako.....^_^. I was really excited to go back to this place as the advance party for the company and spend overnight....yehey...ang sarap...sad to say the morning after our said POD outing i have to go early because of an emergency...However the overnight experience and ocular trip experience were really superb and very unexpected, finding this place was not really hard however staying their and experience is quite a memorable experience, for sure i'll be back on this resort together with my kids and wifey....just hope meron ulit ako libre...mga mam....^_^. I personally recommend this place because of its hillside location and serene views and peaceful grounds that makes you feel to forgot the things on the city and just laid back and enjoyed it....^_^

It's me @ Punta De Fabian.....^_^

Camiguin: Ardent Hibok-Hibok Spring Resort

by lakwatserong tatay

After a grueling walk up to last Station of the Cross in Mt. Vulcan. and photo opps experience in Sunken Cemetery. Our next destination is to pamper ourselves in a natural hot springs resort that is popular in the Mambajao, Camiguin. Surrounded with beautiful landscapes environment and huge tropical trees, and located at the foot of Mount Hibok-Hibok.

Ardent Hibok-Hibok Spring Resort
It was quite late afternoon and the sun is almost down when we arrived in Ardent. We find it out not appealing at first sight. But according to Kuya Chris once you get inside you will surely not dissapointed. It has an admission fee Php30 for adults and Php 15 for children.

jayson & johari is paying entrance for us...^_^
Here are some of Ardent's Hibok-Hibok Spring Resort house rules billboard....there are anywhere else to be find...^_^

Sad to say we wasn't able to explore the resort because it was really getting dark that time, and there's onlny one thing on our minds, we need to go dip on this hot springs just to pamper us for an hour...^_^

the cemented pathways....
Ardent Hot Spring has six pools, each has different temperatures and sperated by tiers or layers. The waters is hot because of Mt. Hibok-Hibok, also called as Catarman Volcano, an active volcano and part of the pacific ring of fire. The water here could actually reach up to 40 °C....Buti nalang nun nagpunta kami rito saktong sakto lang ang init....^_^

The biggest pool
We stayed for almost an hour in the biggest pool that has 6mtrs. depth. There is a mini waterfall that is coming from the biggest pool. On its right is a canal, which brings cold water from the top. I think it used to balance the water temperature.

the other pool
According to the other guest that time, there are two smallest pools that is much hotter than the rest of the pools. But sad to say we missed to try those one, coz we're luck out of time to stay the resort...

here's another one....
So it's more fun in natural hot springs.....^_^ and of course we did not missed to have photo opps while on dip on the biggest pool of Ardent Hot Spring.
