Weekend Getaway: Vigan's Hidden Garden

by lakwatserong tatay

One thing i would really missed on our Weekend Getaway Warrior experience is the food trippin. Here is one of the most scenic, quiet, and romantic restaurant i've been with. One of Vigan's pride, a tourist destination, known to be The Hidden Garden.

As the banner says...what's inside the "hidden garden"...
At first, we though that this is part of our travel mission, were we will go gardening or something about flowers..we really don't have idea, until when we get inside.....^_^

Welcome.........
Hidden Garden is really a one oa kind house of flowers, superb potteries and aside from that it was really visited by very well known persons...as we get reach to their celebrity corner....^_^

Celebrity Corner....isama kaya kami dito...hehehehehe
Here are some of my photos of their superb collections of potteries......^_^

A we had the chance to tour around and talk to the owners...here's a brief history of Hidden Garden..Four years ago, Sir Francis Flores, owner of Hidden Garden suffered three heart attacks and half of his body was paralyzed. He then realized to change his life and decided to start a gardening and became a landscape architect. It was a garden theraphy for him until it became a family business, and as of now their planning to have a health spa to help other people as well......

This restaurant was also included on the show and take some video shots while were eating on their cafe...and we've been serve with local Ilocano cuisines....

Lilong and Lilang Coffee Shop
The Lilong and Lilang Coffee shop is a place that serves delicious, homemade breakfast, lunch and snacks. Aside from the venue it self, it was a very relaxing place while eating in a very attractive and pleasant environment and for me, that makes this place a very special and maybe called as Hidden Garden.

our lunch....
We've been separated to WGA crews table due to the video shots taken...but we've been served and well informed all about the Ilocano's local dishes from Bagnet, Warek Warek, Lomo-Lomo, Dinengdeng, Sinanglao and so much more...

The WGA crew.....^_^
Of course, we won't miss the opportunity to take a souvenir shot with the wife of Sir Francis...and also our self portraint shots....hehehehehe.....sad to say that time Sir Francis had a commitment, so he just stayed for a few minutes and left us together with her wife...thanks po ng marami at sa napakasarap na pagkain na sinerve nyo...!!!!!

How to get to Hidden Garden:

Luckily for us, we had our own private vehicle...it easy to ask for direction or you opted to choose guided by a tricycle going to Hidden Garden. If your backpacker/traveler, you may ride a tricycle or calesa (famous mode of transportation in Vigan), it will directly take  you in Hidden Garden in Brgy. Bulala, located in the corner road going Mindoro Airport (Vigan's Domestic Airport).
