Dampalitan Island is part of one of the unspoiled island around Padre Burgos, Quezon that boasts a long stretch of white sand and a tropical ambiance. It promises a serene and relaxing beach experience away from the usual crowded and overdeveloped beach destinations in the Philippines. It has a hint of Anawangin and Nagsasa Cove’s of Zambales, the atmosphere with pine trees lining its sandy shores, as well as the typical tropical beach ambiance peppered with palm-trees and native nipa huts.

Dampalitan Beach is around 10-15 minutes boat ride from the Tamarind Tree Resort. Another popular jump-off point for the beach is near Vista Playa Restaurant (where we really came from then go first Mag-Asawang Bato). If your group will gonna used commute way, upon arrival at Padre Burgos proper, you may ask some of the tricycle driver to take you to Vista Playa and from there you can find boats to rent. The rates really depends on your haggling skills, the number of persons in your group, and the number of islands you are going to visit. For our island-hopping, im happy to say that there was no haggling happen because it is part of our Padre Burgos Adventure, but as I confirm with Mang Uro, our boatman, some of the boatman can agree to take your group to 4 beaches for Php800 only. how cheap right?

Fees on this Island

As I saw the long stretch of white-sand of Dampalitan shores. I wasn’t really expecting anything grand on this side of Quezon except for the rock formations at Borawan Island, that you can view while your cruising towards to Dampalitan Island. The sun was up and low-tide when we got to the beach so we were able to cross to the mangroves adjacent to the main shore where we docked our boat. It has its own long stretch of pebbly shores, mangrove trees, and a backdrop of verdant bush on the other side of this Island.

The island has a total of 10 cottages for rent and accommodates overnight visitors. It has no electricity but toilets and fresh water, and some soda's are available. Dampalitan Island for me is ideal for laid-back beach camping and family beach excursions. It's clear azure water, white-sand shores and laid-back atmosphere are the lasting memories I have of this beach. Even though we just stay for few hours, to have our lunch on this Island. I will gonna it's view, the white-sand and the nice and warm breeze of it's shore while the pine trees are waving maybe saying please do come back and stay for meanwhile.

For our next and final destination of our Padre Burgos Adventure, it was Borawan Island, composed of two familiar places, Boracay and Palawan Islands.
